Lang Son asked to define distinct potentials and competitive advantages

NDO – The northern province of Lang Son should clearly define its distinct potentials, opportunities, competitive advantages and also its limitations in order to materialise the socio-economic development targets set in the 2021 - 2030 period with a vision to 2050.

Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Committee Pham Minh Chinh made the remarks at the congress of the Party organisation of Lang Son Province for the 2020-2025 tenure held on September 26.

The senior Party official also asked the province to further promote its border economy to become the largest import-export hub of the nation.

He also praised the province for its achievements during the past tenure while directing the congress to discuss thorough plans and solutions for socio-economic development over next five to ten years with a vision to 2045.

Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee Lam Thi Phuong Thanh said that this Party congress is very important to the development of the province until 2025 and acts as a premise for the development over the following 20 years.

She noted that in the next period, the province will focus on developing border economics, trade, services and tourism, which are defined as the spearhead economic sectors for economic development in the province.

The Party organisation’s congress selected the 17th Party organisation executive committee in the 2020-2025 tenure, with 53 members. The congress will be held until September 27.
