Vice President attends patriotic emulation congress of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province

NDO – The fifth patriotic emulation congress of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province in the 2020-2025 tenure was held in the presence of Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh on October 16.

According to a report delivered at the event, over the past five years the province has actively participated in Government-launched patriotic emulation movements, including those on building new-styled rural areas, supporting the poor, facilitating Vietnamese business’s integration and development, and improving office culture.

Up to 150 emulation movements have also been launched by the provincial authorities each year, which have significantly contributed to boosting the locality’s socio-economic development.

Addressing the event, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh highly appreciated the encouraging results gained through the implementation of the emulation movements in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province during the 2016-2020 period.

She asked the provincial authorities to enhance Party building, foster the deployment of the ‘Study and Follow President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle’ campaign, and promptly award those who stand out in the emulation movements.

At the congress, on behalf of the Party and State, Vice President Thinh awarded the Labour Order, certificates of merit, and Government’s emulation flags to collectives and individuals who made outstanding achievements in patriotic emulation movements during the 2016-2020 period.

She also presented VND200 million to the provincial Fund for Children.

On the occasion, the provincial People’s Committee launched a fund-raising event to support people in flood-hit areas in central provinces.
