Belarus’s Independence Day celebrated in Hanoi

NDO/VNA - A ceremony was held in Hanoi on June 20 to mark the 75th anniversary of Belarus’s Independence Day (July 3) and 100 years of founding of the country’s diplomatic sector.

Speaking at the event, Belarusian Ambassador to Vietnam Vladimir Goshin expressed his pleasure at the sound development of traditional relations between his country and Vietnam in recent times, stressing that 2019 marks many important events in the bilateral relations.

The two sides are waiting for the operation of the first Vietnam-Belarus joint venture MAZ Asia on manufacturing and assembling trucks, and the establishment of a joint venture on dairy production and processing in Hung Yen province.

Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Cuong affirmed that the traditional relations between Vietnam and Belarus have been increasingly strengthened, especially through the exchange of delegations at all levels; economic, trade and culture cooperation.

The two sides have signed many agreements, he said, expressing his belief that the Vietnam-Belarus relationship will be stronger in the coming time.
