NDO - The Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper delegation led by Nhan Dan’s Deputy Editor-in-chief, Le Quoc Khanh, took part in the annual L'Humanité festival at La Courneuve Park in the suburbs of Paris from September 14 - 16.

During the event, the Nhan Dan Newspaper delegation held meetings with the leaders of the French Communist Party, attended the opening ceremony for the pavilion of Lao Paxaxon Newspaper, and participated in seminars and exchanges with French and international delegations.

At the meeting with the Nhan Dan Newspaper delegation, Politburo member of the French Communist Party, Jean-Charles Negre, valued the close relationship and solidarity between the French Communist Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam.

He affirmed that the French Communist Party always supports the cause of national development of Vietnam and will work to promote the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Jean-Charles Negre said that the active participation of Nhan Dan Newspaper, with its pavilion at the annual L'Humanité festival, demonstrates the solidarity between the two Parties and peoples, while providing international friends with a better understanding on the development and position of Vietnam.

He noted that Nhan Dan Newspaper’s pavilion at the annual L'Humanité festival has attracted a large number of visitors.

Within the framework of the festival, the France-Vietnam Friendship Association, in collaboration with others organisations, held seminars to discuss measures to treat Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange and voiced their support for Vietnamese-French citizen, Tran To Nga, an Agent Orange victim who is pursuing a lawsuit against US chemical firms for producing toxic substance during the US resistance war in Vietnam.
