NDO – Prime Minister Nguyen Phuc has requested that all levels and sectors take more drastic and effective actions in implementing the targets and tasks, especially the Government’s Resolutions No. 01 and 02, aiming to achieve the goals set for the year and create trust for the people and businesses.

The PM made the remark during a working session in Hanoi on March 18 between the Government leaders and a number of relevant ministries and sectors, on measures to remove difficulties and facilitate business production, towards ensuring the growth targets of the “breakthrough” year 2019.

The results of the meeting will be concretised into a directive of the PM, he said, assigning the Ministry of Planning and Investment to work with the agencies concerned to promptly compile the directive so that it could be issued immediately within this week.

PM Phuc urged for focus on removing institutional bottlenecks, considering this as a top priority, while addressing shortcomings in coordination between ministries, sectors and localities. He suggested organising conferences on certain key economic regions to remove specific obstacles with such important “growth poles”.

Notably, the leader requested the acceleration of the disbursement of public investment capital, asking ministers and chairpersons of the People’s Committees of localities to review projects that have slow disbursement and take measures to definitely handle the situation.

He stressed the need to ensure the necessary credit growth in service of business production activities, to urgently stamp out African swine fever, and strive to make farm produce exports at least equivalent to the turnover of US$43 billion as assigned by the Government.

The industrial, construction and natural resources & environment sectors need to accelerate the progress of existing projects and remove the delayed and prolonged ones, PM Phuc said, asking the transport sector to focus on immediately implementing large-scale transport infrastructure projects with their specific progress schedules confirmed.

The Government leader emphasised the significant role played by communication work in creating trust for the people and preventing negative and harmful information from affecting the development of the country and businesses.
