NDO - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a working session with key leaders of Vietnam Television (VTV) in Hanoi on July 11.

Speaking at the session, PM hailed VTV for its efforts in popularising the Party’s guidelines and the State’s laws and policies as well as vividly reflecting all aspects of economic and social life.

Many programmes produced by VTV have made significant contributions to the fight against corruption, negative acts and wastefulness, helping strengthen people’s confidence and trust, he noted.

The Government leader also asked VTV, as a major press agency, to continue to define its vision and mission, to contribute to building a strong and prosperous country.

In the context of the fourth industrial revolution, VTV must pioneer to apply advanced technologies to produce high quality programmes, and provide viewers with accurate and timely information, he said.

Prime Minister Phuc also asked VTV to better manage the content of socialisation programmes and advertisements.

At the meeting, the PM agreed in principle to several recommendations made by VTV.
