NDO/VNA – The southwestern province of Tay Ninh has granted investment licenses to five solar power projects worth over VND14.3 trillion (US$629.9 million) in Duong Minh Chau and Tan Chau districts.

The plants with a combined capacity of 560 MWp will be built on 20,620 hectares in the area of Dau Tieng reservoir.

Their construction is set to commence at the end of this year.

Three projects were invested by Dau Tieng Tay Ninh Energy Joint Stock Company.

The Dau Tieng 1 and 3 solar power plants are designed with the same capacity of 150 MWp and have respective investment of over VND3.9 trillion (US$171.7 million) and VND3.6 trillion (US$158.5 million).

The Dau Tieng 2 solar power plant worth over VND4.9 trillion (US$215.8 million) has a capacity of 200 MWp.
