NDO – The Ministry of Education and Training has requested higher education institutions in Vietnamconsider the re-enrollment of Vietnamese students studying abroad and foreign students who have returned to Vietnam due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a document sent to domestic universities on July 15, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc said that many Vietnamese students studying abroad have returned to Vietnam and wish to continue their studies at universities in Vietnam.

To facilitate Vietnamese and foreign students, universities should consider the admission of qualified students to international training programmes in English or to joint-training programmes with foreign universities.

The enrollment process should be conducted in accordance with the admission requirements and training capacity of universities.

The ministry also asked universities to consider credit exemptions for students who had completed similar studycredits at universities abroad.

Universities need to report the results of student admissions to the Ministry of Education and Training before the 30th day of every month.
