NDO – A special experience area was officilaly launched at the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) in Hanoi on November 15, providing visitors, particularly students, with a chance to learn more about the country’s heritages.

The area is favoured with suitable conditions for the study of heritages, including tables and chairs for students’ activities, such as painting and molding, as well as modern equipment (computers, projectors and tablets) serving the screening of videos and films on the Temple of Literature and Vietnam’s history of nomination.

In addition, visitors can give presentations on their knowledge of numerous tools.

The launching of the experience area is part of the ‘education programme of heritages by new methods’ implemented by the Temple of Literature’s Cultural and Scientific Centre in 2016.

The programme aims to raise students’ awareness of the values of the relic site as well as the history, studious tradition, architecture, fine arts and customs of Vietnamese people through the use of modern educational methods.

So far, nearly 20 topics have been developed under the programme. In addition to studying, students will be instructed to create their own products using the knowledge that they collected during their visit to the relic site.

On the occasion, an inauguration was held for a showroom of typical souvenirs of the Temple of Literature that were designed and made by artisans from trade villages in Hanoi.
