Book published to honour innovative sci-tech solutions

NDO - The 2019 edition of the Vietnam Golden Book of Innovation, which introduces 74 innovative scientific and technological projects and solutions, was unveiled at a ceremony on August 23.

The book has been published annually since 2016 and covers various sectors given priority for development such as automation, high-tech agriculture, biotechnology, IT, healthcare, education, energy, climate change adaption and national defence and security.

The authors of the projects included in the book are individuals and collectives from all walks of life, bncluding business leaders, workers, farmers and even students.

Speaking at the event, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan stated that many scientific-technological projects have brought about substantive results, helping to accelerate national modernisation and industrialisation.

She added that more contests should be held to encourage Vietnamese people to create more innovative scientific and technological works, and in turn make contributions to the country’s development.

For his part, President of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man extended his congratulations to the authors of the 74 honoured projects included in the Golden Book.

He elaborated that the 74 works were selected from a total of 141 submitted by various ministries, agencies, science-technology associations and local authorities, noting that these projects have proved their worth in reality.
