NDO/VNA – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on September 5 beat the drum to kick off the 2019-2020 academic year at Son Tay High School in Hanoi’s outlying Son Tay township.

Speaking at the ceremony, PM Phuc congratulated the school on the achievements it has recorded over the past 60 years, and lauded its efforts in renovating teaching and learning methods.

The Party and State always pay attention to education and training, he affirmed, noting his hope that the sector, including the Son Tay High School, will contribute more to national construction.

Apart from official subjects, schools should place more importance on teaching morals, lifestyle and life skills, thus promoting comprehensive development of students, PM Phuc said.
