NDO – The Hanoi’s public sector union recently launched a writing contest on promoting initiatives for Hanoi’s development on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Capital’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2019).

The contest is open to all public servants and employees in the city, who are encouraged to offer suggestions, proposals and solutions in various fields of administrative reform, technological applications, human resources improvement and cultural cultivation in order to boost Hanoi’s development as a heroic and peaceful city.

The contest will run until October 2020 with the best entries to be published on several online newspapers and Hanoi City’s online portal.

Also in celebration of Hanoi’s Liberation Day, an exhibition featuring 65 photos of Hanoi opened at Hanoi’s Temple of Literature on September 9.

Works on display are arranged into two topics entitled ‘Hanoi – A safe and friendly destination’ and ‘Hanoi – Creative City’. The photos provide visitors with a multidimensional look into the culture and contemporary life in Hanoi.

The event is co-hosted by the Kinh te va Do thi (Economic and Urban Affairs) newspaper, the Temple of Literature's Cultural and Scientific Centre, and the Hanoi Senior Citizens’ Photography Club. It will be open for the public until October 13.
