Hanoi to set off fireworks at 30 sites on Lunar New Year’s Eve

NDO – Hanoi is scheduled to set off fireworks at 30 sites, across 30 districts, rural districts and towns, on the Lunar New Year’s Eve 2020.

The People’s Committee of Hanoi has agreed with the proposal from the city’s Department of Culture and Sports to stage fireworks displays in all its districts.

Both high-range and low-range fireworks shows will take place at six sites including Hoan Kiem, Tay Ho, Hai Ba Trung, Ha Dong, and Nam Tu Liem districts and Son Tay town.

The 24 remaining districts of Hanoi will see low-range fireworks.

Fireworks displays will last for 15 minutes, beginning from the stroke of midnight on January 25, 2020.

Earlier, the Government approved the proposal by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs for a seven-day Lunar New Year holiday.
