Khanh Hoa launches contest on sea and islands

Nhan Dan Online - A contest that aims to raise people's awareness and knowledge of Vietnam’s marine strategy and its role in economic and in national construction and defence was officially launched in the central city of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa province on May 7.

 

Twenty two prizes are going to be presented to the winners of the competition at an award ceremony, to be held this November.

Vietnam is a coastal nation at the eastern edge of the East Sea, with over 3,260 kilometres of coastal line and more than 3,000 islands. The central province of Khanh Hoa province has 385 kilometres of coastal line with nearly 200 inshore islands and 100 small islands and coral reefs of the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.
