As part of their preparation plans for the gold medal target at the upcoming 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, Vietnam’s U22 football team are set to have two short-term training camps this month.
As many as 28 players have been called up by head coach Park Hang-seo for the first camp from August 5 to 9 at the PVF Centre. In addition to familiar faces, the Republic of Korea tactician decided to give opportunities to some new players, including Phan Minh Thanh and Pham Trung Hieu (Quang Ninh Coal FC), Doan Thanh Truong and Tran Manh Hung (Nam Dinh FC), and striker Nham Manh Dung (Viettel FC).

During the training camp, Park will arrange his players to play friendly matches or competitive matches in order to test their capabilities.
The friendly against Hong Kong’s Kitchee SC is part of the second training camp, set for August 12 to 15.
Kitchee SC is a strong team in Hong Kong and the champions of the 2017-2018 Hong Kong Premier League. They are considered quality opponents for Park Hang-seo’s players to demonstrate their competence.
