Under the dynasty of Thai manager Kiatisuk Senamuang, HAGL have been showing significant progress and brilliant form in the nation’s top-tier league. They have constantly stood on top of the standings in recent matchweeks, with an amazing unbeaten run of six matches (five wins and one draw).

With the aforementioned impressive results, Kiatisuk’s side have surpassed other heavyweights to win the “Best Club” prize for January and March. Alongside the collective title, HAGL have also dominated the individual categories.

Accordingly, Kiatisuk was named the “Best Manager”– a worthy recognition of his efforts to build up an eye-catching and effective playing style for HAGL. The appearance of the Thai tactician has brought positive changes for HAGL players regarding both profession and the fighting spirit.

Thai manager Kiatisuk Senamuang has brought a fresh breeze into HAGL's playing style.

HAGL forward Nguyen Van Toan convincingly claimed the “Best Player” prize for January and March. The Hai Duong-born striker scored three goals and served up many assists, contributing significantly to HAGL’s ongoing fantastic journey.

The ”Best Goal” prize went to forward Phan Van Duc of Song Lam Nghe An FC. Van Duc’s brace, including a “superb strike” from outside the penalty box, helped Ngo Quang Truong’s side earn a 2-1 victory against SHB Da Nang in their Round 5 trip to Hoa Xuan Stadium.

V.League 1-2021 will continue today (April 7) with three Round 8 matches, including Quang Ninh Coal vs Saigon FC, Hong Linh Ha Tinh vs Topenland Binh Dinh, and Hanoi FC vs Viettel FC.
