NDO – Authorities in the northern province of Quang Ninh have taken practical actions to stimulate tourism in the hope of welcoming 6 million visitors to the province this summer.

Accordingly, many interesting cultural, tourist, cuisine-based and musical events will take place in Ha Long city in April, promising to offer vacationers a variety of travel experiences.

Notably, the Hon Gai man-made beach in Hong Ha ward will be put into operation next month, adding a new attraction for visitors to the city.

Meanwhile, Ha Long Bay’s management board has asked cruise ship operators at the bay to maintain high hygiene standards on all their ships and called on cruise passengers to strictly follow the Ministry of Health’s 5K message: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration).

In Van Don district, functional agencies have been active in reviewing the sanitation conditions in swimming pools and beaches, as well as the infrastructure and accommodation service quality in the locality. The district’s authorities have requested travel businesses and tourist service providers reduce prices to stimulate domestic tourism demand.

Visitors to the Co To island district this summer will have an opportunity to take part in an exciting summer tourism programme, a race, a street parade, a lion dance, and a fair displaying the island’s typical products under Quang Ninh’s “One Commune – One Product” (OCOP) programme.
