Fire in hospital kills six in Ukraine

Six people died after a fire broke out in a psychiatric hospital in Odessa, southern Ukraine, the country's State Emergency Service released in a statement on June 11.

"Six people died and four have been hospitalised," the statement said. Nine other people escaped unharmed.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he regretted the "terrible tragedy" and directed Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman to set up a committee to investigate.

He also offered his condolences to the families of the victims.
